What Is Sky Key and Why Is It So Good At Saving Me Money?

When you book a flight, have you ever checked the price of it afterwards? Often, the exact same flight will be selling for $50, $100, or even several thousand dollars less. Sky Key is a first of its kind tool that gets you money back when this happens.

    Who started Sky Key?

Jacob Goldberg came up with the original idea for Sky Key. After booking a flight to Japan, he noticed the exact same flight was selling for $500 less. When he was able pocket the $500 difference by cancelling and rebooking his ticket, he realized every flyer could benefit by using a similar strategy.

He immediately called his longtime tech friend Billy Bund and the two began building a tool that could do exactly this. Two years in, this tool has evolved into the most powerful online platform for saving people money on already booked flights.

What was Sky Key started for?

Sky Key was started to save you money on flights you already booked. Most people don’t know you can save money after you book your ticket when the price drops.

Before Sky Key, booking a flight looked something like this:

    • You search Google Flights, Skyscanner, or Kayak to find an affordable flight
    • Confirm the price you’re seeing by finding the same flight on the actual airline’s website
    • Clear your browser history and cookies
    • Come back to the airline website on Tuesday to book your flight because that’s when airlines run discounted fares

Using Sky Key, this process is much simpler:

    • Book your flight on the airline website
    • Upload your ticket to Sky Key and Sky Key will automatically save you money when the price drops
